Why do good web-sites look bad while bad books look good?
Because book design has been around a lot longer than web design? Because books cost money to produce and as a result publishers make sure their wares get designed to sell and recoup their costs? Whereas a fan site on stamp collecting, excellent as the content may be, is likely to be design-challenged.
