Time to move some old content to new media
Since I know my friends at the RIAA are more concerned with preventing from making fair use copies of music released today, I’m going to spend some time dragging some of the dinosaur-age music I have on vinyl to a more modern format, like MP3.
The tools exist and now that I have a CD recorder ($22.47 on ebay) I can finally start putting this in motion. It will be interesting to see if browsing through the vinyl bins becomes worth doing: I don’t know where I would find any, but I do know of a phonograph needle shop, so that augurs well.
