Buy a roll of film, any type, grab a developer, mix it up, then look up the optimal processing times/temps etc here:
The Massive Dev Chart: B/W Film Development Times, Processing Data:
I just processed a roll of Forte PAN 100 following the helpful directions here and I’m glad someone has taken the time to pull all this together.
As best I can tell, no telltale fogging from the counter window. The mods I added to resolve that have since been removed — electric tape, not the most elegant solution — and replaced with some black felt. The tape was making the film hard to wind through and I was concerned the glue might make its presence felt in unhelpful ways or the tape itself might dry out or crack as electrical tape can do.
Some of these look printable. Perhaps it’s time to take the next step. Scanning would make more sense, of course.
