A very positive review of AbiWord by a columnist at MSNBC
I think this could an indicator of how things may be going. Take Galeon, for instance: it’s just a browser. It does all the usual plugins but no mail or news stuff. The result? It’s fast and easy to use. Now we have a free word processor with all the features most people need. And yes, it runs on the leading commercial operating systems.
I’ve used version .99.5, and am build 1.01 right now. If you’re on a supported platform, give it a try.
