OK, maybe not in the Art Deco style, but why not have durable and attractive reusable cases. Board and power supplies are getting smaller, I think we have reached the lower bound on the size and number of removable media ports. And those could be hidden behind a cover of some sort.
This is a nice way of taking your PC back to the 1930s Art Deco designed world. Maybe it will also make us think back to the time when consumer electronics weren’t just pocket-sized gadgets that can be thrown away after a couple years of use.

testing ecto3 which I didn’t realize was already in beta.
I like it so far. It seems to be better — more responsive and cleaner looking — than ecto2, which was starting to look a little tired. Couple of things I still to figure out, but I don’t see anything missing.
Why am I seeing deletions and edits in some site feeds?

I was hoping to see what this RAW stuff was all about. Converting them to TIFF format doesn’t look good: the color shifts markedly for some reason.
I guess I can bellyache to Nikon about this and see what I learn.
