a message from Lovingway United Pentecostal Church

Written on 2/27/2004

DenverPost.com - LOCAL NEWS:

“We never intended to hurt any people,” he said. “I never dreamed we would be inciting hatred for Jews.” The message “spun out of control,” he added.

How did Pastor Maurice Gordon think that putting “Jews Killed the Lord Jesus” on a reader board outside his church would be viewed as “intended only to instigate discussion and debate?”

Isn’t Pastor Maurice Gordon the same bigot that tried to burn books in Boulder? This guy should be shunned. Maybe he should set up a new ministry in Iraq so he can get an idea of what it is like to be hated for one’s religious affiliation.

I can forgive pastor Gordon for what he did. Yet his ignorance of the feelings and hopes of others betrays a distancing of himself from the work of the Holy Spirit which is entirely un-Christlike. He also has a history of inciting emotional issues as if they were entirely spiritual, which is also out of line with true spiritual maturity. I think he needs to step down as pastor for awhile and become discipled in a way that is truly of the moral character of Christ. But then, how will his own pride not stand in the way?

As a Catholic, I say this.

If you are such an idiot that you cannot accept the fact that Jesus was a Jew and that Christianity had its birth in Judaism, you are lost.
It matters not by what name your church goes. YOU ARE A RED NECK IDIOT!
If your hate for Jews burns, join the Idiot brigade of the Islamic morons.

Among the scum in our society none are so despicable as the ignorant bible thumpers!

I find it ironic, that you make an intelligent statement, then follow it up with an ignorant one yourself, Steve. “Islamic morons”…thats highly bigoted, and quite un-true. Im assuming you base this opinion on the fact that some of the Islamic believers are fanatics? kind of reminds me of what the Christian Coalition could do, and has done if in less violent ways. Remember, before you point the finger at believers of Islam, that the Angel Gabriel did visit their prophet as well, and his golden horn did play for Muhammed just as it had for Jesus and all others. They are closer as your brothers and sisters than you seem to realize.

I’m a Jew, US veteran, served in an elite military unit, and couldn’t care less about ant-Jewish films, or comments. I can handle anything that comes my way.

It is odd, however, how many intellectually limited & deprived individuals waste their time worrying about what someone, SUPPOSEDLY, scribbled down, thousands of years ago, with no tangible proof of historical accuracy, nor veracity.

That Mel Gibson is a marketing genius. He coulda taught that loser, Judas, a thing or two about turning a serious buck. Gibson is even pitching $17 necklaces comprised of replicas of the NAILS! hey, can Jesburgers be far off?

Hey Gibson, at least Linda Lovelace didn’t hide behind a “savior”, you know what I mean?
