Do you have any favorite children’s gifts your children have received or been given? Any timeless ideas you’d like to share?
If you have come across something really good, please leave it a comment on this page. Please tell us the name, a description, where you found it, and what age child it would be best suited for. And if you need some ideas, I hope there are a few here to inspire you.

I have been very impressed with Kids Discover magazine. It’s a small but well-done science and nature magazine for elementary school age. The articles are short with lots of well-done, realistic illustrations or photographs. And there’s *no* advertising: no candy or movie promotions to rot their teeth or minds (even National Geographic for kids can’t make that claim).
It’s $26.95 for 12 monthly issues, but they offer some promo discounts sometimes. You can find out more at kidsdiscover.com.
You can’t go past classic children’s books from around the world. Most countries have a list of classics on the net. In Australia we have Very Hungry Catterpillar, Possum Magic, The Magic Pudding, Where The Wild Things Are…
